I have worked as a Marriage and Family therapist since 2013. The Antelope Valley has been my home since I was a child and have maintained strong roots in the community. I have had the privilege of being the first in my family to receive a BA and MA degree, and work hard to support others aiming for Higher Education. After college, I decided to come home and work in the local community in a variety of roles with adolescents, as a youth minister and as a middle school teacher. Through this experience I learned that I love to work with young adults and those struggling with their transition into adulthood, individuals with mood disorders, first generation latinx clients, and of course teens!
I come from a psycho-dynamic approach and will use a combination of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) coping skills based upon your needs. If a client is looking for a faith-based approach to therapy, we can use this as a focus to guide you through treatment. I often use art to guide clients through their therapeutic journey as well.
You are the expert in what is happening in your life and I am here to walk with you along your journey to healing and perhaps facilitate a better understanding of what is occurring in your life.
